Research shows that being outside provides us with numerous benefits — physical, mental, emotional and even social. Camp Kawartha delivers on these benefits with immersive programs and experienced, professional staff!

We know that not every family can afford to pay for a class trip, and that not every teacher can raise all the funds necessary to take their class on a trip. Camp Kawartha is here with a special offer. From November through to March we are offering a special subsidized rate for students in need. This ensures that your students can participate in some of the most enriching outdoor and environmental education in the region.

OPTION #1 – A Day Visit

Your class can participate in a 1-day visit to the Environment Centre, located on the campus of Trent University in Peterborough. Each of your students can learn about ecology, sustainable living, enjoy hikes, games and develop outdoor skills. See our Environment Centre pages for further information.

OPTION #2 – An Overnight Stay

For the more adventurous, immerse your class in a 2.5-day visit to Camp Kawartha, just 15 minutes northeast of Lakefield. Choose from climbing wall, night hiking, fur trade, the survival game and so much more. The overnight stay will give students an opportunity to get out of the classroom for a sustained exploration of new skills and new experiences.
