Financial Assistance
Camp Kawartha wants every child to experience the magic of summer camp....
The Camp Kawartha Summer Camp Subsidy Program provides financial assistance to families who need support with camp fees. This program helps ensure that more children can experience the joys of camp, all while discovering nature, building confidence, and creating lifelong memories!
In addition to our subsidy programming, we’re pleased to offer flexible payment plans which allow families to spread the cost of camp out over multiple payments.

Applying for Assistance - 1 week and Introductory Overnight Camps
Financial assistance for our overnight camp is made possible thanks to the generosity of our private and community donors, foundations, fundraising events, and grants such as the Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund. We are also grateful to partner with organizations including Amici Children’s Camp Charity, and Kids in Camp to create opportunities for children to experience the magic of summer camp. Subsidies are available to families facing financial barriers who would not otherwise be able to afford the full cost of camp.
This year, our subsidy funding application process may look a little bit different. With many families experiencing increased financial strain, we recognize that income measures alone don’t always reflect the true affordability of summer camp. To better support our community, we are introducing a new tiered application system. Our hope is this more flexible approach will enable us to help more families access meaningful camp experiences for their children and youth.
Our initial round of 2026 Subsidies have now been awarded.
If you are still interested in applying for financial assistance, please join our Subsidy Funding Waitlist, which can be accessed through the online registration portal. If you do not have a current account set up in our online registration portal, you will need to create one first. Once on the waitlist, an application for assistance will be sent should additional funding become available.
2026 Subsidy Application Policy
While we do our best to place campers in their preferred session, please understand that subsidy availability in some sessions may be limited based on availability. In the event your preferred session is not available, our office will reach out to discuss alternate options.
A special note to families:
We understand the subsidy application process can feel daunting. Please rest assured that our team is here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions, or require assistance with your application, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re more than happy to help!
