Financial Assistance

Camp Kawartha wants every child to experience the magic of summer camp....

The Camp Kawartha Summer Camp Subsidy Program provides financial assistance to families who need support with camp fees. This program helps ensure that more children can experience the joys of camp, all while discovering nature, building confidence, and creating lifelong memories!

In addition to our subsidy programming, we’re pleased to offer flexible payment plans which allow families to spread the cost of camp out over multiple payments.

Applying for Assistance - 1 week and Introductory Overnight Camps

Financial assistance for our overnight camp is made possible thanks to the generosity of our private and community donors, foundations, fundraising events, and grants such as the Toronto Star Fresh Air Fund and Kids-in-Camp charity. Subsidies are available to families facing financial barriers who would not otherwise be able to afford the full cost of camp.

This year, our subsidy funding application process may look a little bit different. With many families experiencing increased financial strain, we recognize that income measures alone don’t always reflect the true affordability of summer camp. To better support our community, we are introducing a new tiered application system. Our hope is this more flexible approach will enable us to help more families access meaningful camp experiences for their children and youth.

To apply, please review our 2026 Subisdy application policy, and then complete our *new* online application form below.

If your application is not approved, your deposit will be promptly returned to you in full.

All families will be notified of the status of their application within 4-6 weeks of this date.  Applications may be submitted after this date and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
