Environmental Education Programs
Environment Centre, Peterborough
Our talented educators, many teacher-trained offer dynamic and interactive environmental programming grounded in the Ontario Curriculum. Educators use hands-on exploration, experiments, storytelling, drama and games to make learning come alive for students. All of our programs are connected to our stewardship framework and are offered at Camp Kawartha’s Environment Centre, on Pioneer Road in Peterborough. Each program typically last 1½ hours. A school field trip visit starts at 9:30am and ends at 2:30pm, and includes two program periods.
Rates
Regular Rate: $12.50 / student / day.

We are happy to work with you to create a day specifically geared to you and what your students are learning in the classroom. Feel free to contact us about modifying programs to suit older or younger students.

Please Note – Due to the ephemeral (seasonal) nature of the streams and wetlands near the Environment Centre, several of our ‘Be A Watershed Steward’ programs are offered seasonally based on water levels. Typically, wetland programs are available from April 15th to May 15th each Spring and variable dates in the Fall depending on conditions. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
