The Community Services Recovery Fund (CSR) is a $400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support community service organizations like Camp Kawartha with funding to help us adapt and modernize. As our longer-term recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we were thrilled the Government of Canada’s push to include NFPs in a model of economic growth that creates opportunities for development and redevelopment.

The Government of Canada delivered the CSR Fund through three National Funders – Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada, and United Way Centraide Canada. Locally, Peterborough United Way was our conduit to the program and recently made the funding announcement.

Camp Kawartha is receiving $37,571 to upgrade our on-line presence – modernize our booking system; improve on-line resources and develop on-line programming.  Thanks to this funding, we’ll be able to make our booking experience more seamless, expand our reach, and help us become a go-to site for outdoor, environmental and camping resources!

We are grateful to the Government of Canada for this important funding that will elevate our ability to serve our camping community and the new communities we will now reach!
