"Everybody can be great; because anybody can serve."

-Martin Luther King Jr.

There is something truly special about being able and willing to contribute to a greater good through volunteerism. Camp Kawartha is grateful for the goodwill of our volunteers, and we welcome those who would like to join our great team!

Our Garden Crew is looking for new members!

Love fresh air, getting your hands in the soil, and making a difference? Join us in growing something amazing for 2026!

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help clean up, plant and harvest in our:

  • Pantry Garden
  • Welcome Garden
  • Shoreline Garden

Whether you have a few hours a week, a few hours a month or even just a single day, we would be thrilled to welcome you to our Garden Crew!

Your time and care will help:

  • Feed our Summer Campers with fresh, healthy produce,
  • Support pollinators and biodiversity
  • Teach campers about the magic and wonder of gardening

Come grow with us and help make 2026 an incredible year for our gardens, our campers, and our environment!

Ready to dig in? Contact us at info@campkawartha.ca to express interest in becoming part of the Green Team!

We have two sites to choose from and several departments in which volunteers operate:

Gardening:

We have three primary gardens at our Clear Lake site and two at our Peterborough site, so you know we need lots of hands doing everything from planning, planting to maintaining, and harvesting!

Maintenance:

Helping staff with everything from lawn mowing to plumbing repairs!

Outdoor Education:

We welcome student placements from post-secondary or high school for enriching opportunities to help with program delivery.

Administration:

If you can bring your talents to the office you can help with anything from data entry to the Gift Store!

Fund Raising:

As a not-for-profit charity part of our revenue is generated by reaching out to the community and asking for their financial assistance, so grant research and grant writing helps us extend requests for a helping hand.

Media Relations:

Photos need to be taken and videos need to be shot so we can tell the world about the amazing things we do!
