Now all we need is the kids!

White sign with black text that states "back to camp"Without doubt, this year has been the most difficult year for organizing Summer Camp!  Announcements from the province have slowly rolled out causing some consternation for our Summer Camp Team (and parents) but, we think we are ready.

Leadership Campers arrive on July 4th but then the first full intake of campers will be on July 11thAlthough there will be some changes – masking, cohorting etc. – the kids will still be excited to get outdoors and just have some plain old FUN!

We can only imagine what the kids take away from Camp this summer, what memories they will have of this very unique time in their history.  All the staff — the maintenance team, cleaning team, healthcare team, office team, summer camp team — will continue to work hard to ensure that those memories are happy ones.

Here is a glimpse of our preparations for Summer Camp 2021!

The lake toys are out and ready!  The canoes, sailboards and sailboats are ready too!Image of a lake with a round blue and yellow water trampoline on the left and a floating barge with a slide on the right.

The cabins are cleaned and set up, plus we’ve added some tents on platforms to help with cohorting.

Summer Staff are going through their rigorous first aid training.  Here, our team is going through procedures for turning over an unconscious accident victim.

Hand sanitizer dispensers have been mounted at the cabin entrances.

Extra toilets and hand-washing stations were added.

With the approval and help of Douro-Dummer Township we’ve added a kiss and ride turning on The Range for Day Camp parents.

The PPE has arrived!
