Hi everyone! I’m Turner and this summer will be my 6th year at Camp Kawartha and my second on staff! I am currently finishing up my grade 12 year at Nepean High School in Ottawa, and even though I enjoy it, I can’t wait to be back at camp this summer! During the year, I’ve been keeping busy going to school, skiing, working at my local pool and having fun outside! In the fall, I will be starting at the University of Ottawa studying geography, as I want to become an urban planner and make our cities more sustainable. I am particularly interested in sustainable transportation and I want to make bike transportation the norm! Camp has taught me so much about how important it is to spend time outside having fun, making new friends and trying new things like windsurfing and canoe tripping, which are two of my favourite camp activities! I can’t wait to meet everyone this summer!
