Hey everyone! My name is Sam and this year I will be the assistant programming director! This will be my 11th year at camp Kawartha and my 4th year on staff. When I am not at camp, I am attending ST. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia where I am studying Human Kinetics. There are some great mountain biking trails near my school, so I spend most weekends biking!

One of my favourite camp activities is sailing on a windy day. The thing I love most about the outdoors is how happy it makes you! Whether you’re reading, exercising, or just hanging out, it’s always more fun outside. Something I always do to help the environment is to always carry my reusable water bottle with me and educate people why it’s important to use reusable water bottles.

My goal for this summer is to create fun and safe programs for the whole camp to enjoy. The thing I’m most excited for about camp is being back in such an incredible and accepting environment with so many great people. I can’t wait for the summer of 2021 and the 100th anniversary of camp this year!
