Hello everyone and welcome to another great summer at Camp Kawartha! My name is Fabio and this year I will be one of the Leadership Directors! This will be my 11th summer working at CK and all of those summers have been built from the skills and confidence I gained from CK’s leadership programs all those years ago. My summer as a LIT was my favourite summer as a camper and I am so excited to be working some great groups of LITs this year!

I grew up and currently live in Toronto where I’ve been working as a supply teacher. This year I’ve been going on lots of walks in the parks and ravines in my neighbourhood. I’ve been trying to keep an eye out for wildlife on my walks, especially birds. On one recent walk I had a close encounter with a coyote which was very exciting!

I went to a few day-camps as a kid, but Camp Kawartha was my first overnight camp and I never considered going anywhere else afterwards. CK is the place where I have made many of the closest relationships in my life and is like another home to me. Here’s to summer 2021!
