The Rotary Club of Peterborough recently hosted a dinner at our main site…in Rotary Hall of all places!
Members who attended had a tour of the Rotary Health Centre. Their commitment of $100,000.00 to build the Centre was a catalyst that helped us raise funds from corporations, governments, individuals, and groups that paid for the $475,000.00 cost for the 1400 square foot building. We were delighted to show them the outcome of their investment and highlight the many, many sustainable features!
After the tour, a tasty dinner prepared by our kitchen staff was enjoyed by all, as were the presentations that followed. And to round out the evening Executive Director, Jacob Rodenburg literally tossed Rotary President, Wayne Harding into Clear Lake…much to everyone’s delight, even Wayne’s!
We thank the Rotary members for joining us and for their massive support of this vital project. Healthcare at the Camp got an amazing boost, and we have a world-class, carbon-neutral building that is the envy of the Camp community as well as an exemplar of how to build responsibly!
