Each afternoon, the Pre-Leadership Campers will explore concepts of leadership collectively through inititives, games, challenges, and adventure programming – all designed to challenge campers and create a platform for beginning to explore the foundations of leadership at a level that is appropriate to campers of their age. 

This 2-night canoe trip is designed to be for beginners or those who are less familiar to canoe tripping. With a relatively simple route, campers will be guided into the foundations of canoe tripping skills from paddling to portaging to setting up camp. It’s a great oppourtunity for campers to connect with peers, and learn about themselves and the natural world – all with the support of our caring and expierenced staff team. 

As a 3-week program, PLC has a town day included so that campers have the oppourtunity to do laundry while at camp. PLC campers will sometimes go on excursions as well to learn and explore the natural world nearby to Camp Kawartha. Past trips have included the Peterborough Petroglyphs and the Warsaw Caves. 

Designed to be an ‘Introduction’ to leadership, this program swill provides all the classic camp fun activities that campers come to love over the years. Pre-Leadership camper groups complete classes with the rest of the camp each morning, and still participate in Evening Program, Theme Days, and more.
