Most scientists agree that the world’s dependence on fossil fuels has resulted in serious and perhaps irreversible climate change. As sources of fossil fuels run out, our need to find alternative sources of clean energy becomes that more urgent. This program familiarizes students with why climate change is a problem and how clean, renewable energy sources can help to create a greener future. Students will calculate their carbon footprint, experiment with working models of wind turbines and other sources of renewable energy.
