About Us
Throughout Fall, Winter & Spring (from early September to mid-June), both of our facility locations are available for group rentals.
Camp Kawartha is a registered non-profit charitable organization committed to environmental education and stewardship.
When you choose Camp Kawartha, you are helping to support outdoor & environmental education programs for youth.
Clear Lake Rental Facility (our Main Camp)
Overnight and Day Rentals
Camp Kawartha offers an inspiring retreat for your group to enjoy a weekend escape, immersed in nature and comfortable in our eco-friendly, sustainable facilities.
Features
- Accommodations – Up to 100 people can fit comfortably in rustic, fully winterized cabins. There is a central washroom building with private showers and toilets.
- Dining Hall – The Hall can comfortably hold up to 125 people for meals, using the adjacent Rotary Hall as overflow as needed.
- Outdoor Activities – Waterfront with swimming and boating areas, an accessible climbing wall and winter activities such as snowshoeing or cross country skiing.
- Other Activities – On site we have archery, a basketball court, playing field and a volleyball court; adventure activities such as high ropes, low ropes and team challenges.
Peterborough Rental Facility (our Environment Centre at Trent)
Day Rentals
Located within the breathtaking wildlife sanctuary that surrounds Trent University, the Camp Kawartha Environment Centre (at 2505 Pioneer Road, Peterborough, Ontario) provides an inspirational and private setting to host your next meeting, workshop, or special event, just minutes away from downtown Peterborough. This unique building, accommodating up to 65 people, is a model of environmentally-sustainable architecture, construction and operation.
