Winter is a great time to get outdoors to explore & learn. It is also a time to learn about taking care of our basic needs: shelter building, tracking & trailing, and fire-making to stay warm for example. Practicing these fun, ancient skills not only helps us to connect with the essentials of what we truly need but also engages our sense of adventure, puts us in touch with the natural world, and encourages confidence and comfort through skill-building.
