On the weekend of June 2nd to 4th, our Summer Camp Alumni came together for their Reunion after a long break due to COVID. It was an incredible weekend with over 110 participants spanning generations from the 1950’s to present day staff, including 14 children both present and future campers. One alumni family had a member who was a camper in the 1950’s and their two sons staff members in the 90’s, plus their kids!

The weekend was filled with some good ol’ fashioned Camp get-to-know-you-games, reminiscing and stories from different eras, sharing of artifacts and photos, upgraded traditional camp food, tie dye, campfires, dock hangouts, skits and Zingtong, and so much more.

Three Alumni carrying a log to help create a new gardenAs alumni, we also wanted to give back to a place that gave us all such incredible memories, life-long skills, and friendships.  On Saturday afternoon we helped prep for the upcoming summer by putting in the sail dock, barge, and helped to build a new garden (the Canoe Garden). It was a refreshing weekend away from our now busy lives as adults, but there’s something about Camp that just makes everything better. We can all take a little bit of that Camp energy and hope with us back to the real world, spreading the Camp spirit everywhere we go.
