Environment Centre Program

Exploring Renewable Energy

Don’t be caught in the fossil fuel past. Come see how the Environment Centre maintains an energy neutral status through conservation and technology including photovoltaic panels, straw bale walls, and geothermal heating. Through a series of interactive activities, students will explore the difference between renewable and non-renewable energy sources and learn why renewable energy and conservation are essential for the health and wellbeing of the earth. Students will also have the opportunity to design, build and race solar electric model cars.
