Environment Centre Program

Nature Sculpture

Nature has long influenced artists and their creations. Inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy, this program encourages students to go beyond paper and brush to create art in nature, from nature. First, students learn how artists, such as Goldsworthy, use the elements of design (colour, texture, and shape, etc.) to create captivating works of art. Then, students venture into the wild to find natural materials with which to create works of art of their very own. Once complete, students will have the opportunity to share their piece and creative process with the class.
