Hi everyone! My name is Roach (she/her), and I will be one of your Head Counselors this summer! This will be my 10th summer at camp and my 4th year on staff! One of my favorite things to do at camp is teach arts and crafts! I love helping campers create art that they can take home and keep as memories from their time at camp. When I’m not at camp I’m attending St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I’m taking a Bachelor of Arts degree and majoring in Psychology. One thing that I love about the outdoors is stargazing! Whether that be camping or at CK, being able to take in the beauty that nature provides us and be one with nature under the starts is something that I have always loved. In order to protect our environment at camp and anywhere else I go, I’m always sure to bring a reusable water bottle and utensils. This allows me to limit the use of unneeded plastics, as well as educate the people around me on how they too can be more environmentally conscious. My goal this summer is to make sure that every camper, as well as our staff is happy and healthy during their time at camp! I’m so excited to see and meet everyone this summer and I know our staff is counting down the days until we arrive at CK! Stay healthy and safe everyone! See you soon!
