Hi everyone! My name is Heather, or at camp I go by Husa. I am so excited to be returning to Camp Kawartha this summer for the second year as the Kinder Camp, Twilights and CK 101 Director. Outside of camp, I am currently a Teacher Candidate in the Bachelor of Education program at Trent University in the primary and junior stream. This spring, I had an amazing opportunity to complete a teaching placement at a Forest Education center just outside of Squamish, BC. I found my love of teaching through camp and outdoor education, which I have been involved in for the last 7 years at various camps. I love being at camp because it means spending my summers outdoors and planning lots of fun activities. Looking forward to another great summer!
