Challenge & Adventure Camp (CH)
August 18 - August 24
Ages: 14-16, co-ed.
This action packed 1-week session involves a series of adventure-based activities led by our experienced staff and qualified instructors at each facility. This intensive program never stops challenging campers with adventure activities from start to finish. Our staff promote an enriching and leadership-focused environment for the campers as they work together to develop a positive and confident attitude toward themselves and others in a non-competitive, nurturing environment.
Saturday – Arrival (10:00-10:30am), Icebreakers, Kayaking and High Ropes training
Sunday – Outdoor Rock Climbing at the Eagle’s Nest in Bancoft
Monday – Day 1 – White Water Kayaking at the Minden White Water Preserve and Camping
Tuesday – Day 2 – White Water Kayaking at the Minden White Water Preserve
Wednesday – Day 1 – Mountain Biking at the Haliburton Forest and Camping
Thursday – Day 2 – Mountain Biking at the Haliburton Forest and Tour of Wolf Centtre
Thurs. Evening – Camp Banquet and Candlelight Ceremony
Friday – Closure Activities and Departure
Recommendation: To help gain valuable team-building skills and tripping experience prior to taking leadership courses, we suggest that campers consider completing either this ‘Challenge and Adventure’ program or the ‘Wilderness Canoe Trip’ (for ages 14-16) before applying for the ‘Counsellor Skills Development’ and ‘Leader-In-Training’ courses.
