Workshop: Edible Landscaping

September 24 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Register NowThis workshop involves a field trip to 99 Ford St in Warsaw to tour a seven year old Edible Landscape with fruit and nut trees and bushes, herbs, edible flowers and vegetables, a greenhouse and chickens. This will give participants the opportunity to see the plants in action and to learn more about what works and what doesn’t and to ask specific questions about plants of interest.

Instructor: Cathy Hooper, Master Gardener and Permaculture Designer

This workshop is part of the Edible Landscaping Workshop Series.

Each workshop involves both a lesson and hands-on experience in a garden. We will all work together to prepare, plant and maintain the garden at the Environment Centre.  This allows participants time to ask questions about the process and time to get to know each other and the land as well as our plants and their needs. Teachings are in the permaculture style which incorporates ideas of organic, small scale, intensive, holistic and sustainable living and gardening.
