Workshop: Starting from Seed

It is economical to start your own seeds for herbs and for growing your own food. We will look at the different times and ways to start seeds and what different seeds need to germinate well. We will talk about choosing seeds for extending your vegetable growing season and for growing winter storage vegetables. The gardening component of this workshop will involve seeding herbs, flowers and ground covers into our edible garden and, weather permitting, we will plant out some fruit bushes.
